9Days- Kenya / Tanzania Wildebeest Migration Safari is a perfect safari to witness the migration in Maasai Mara Game Reserve and Serengeti National Park.
The migration moves north out of the central Serengeti National Park, splitting into two routes; bigger group heads into the western corridor crossing the Grumeti River in spectacular fashion. The crocodiles wait patiently to catch wildebeest as they force their way across the river. The wildebeest continue to move in big numbers across the Grumeti region, making another perilous river crossing to cross the Mara River and reach the lush grazing in Kenya’s Maasai Mara Game Reserve. The smaller group moves directly north from the central Serengeti National Park into the northern plains and from there into the Maasai Mara Game Reserve, avoiding the river crossings.
