06:30 AM – Departure from Arusha
Begin the journey with a scenic 2-hour drive, passing through Maasai villages and the dramatic Great Rift Valley escarpment. Upon arrival, register at the park gate and receive a short briefing before entering the park.
09:00 AM – 12:30 PM: Morning Game Drive
Discover the park’s unique ecosystems, from lush groundwater forests to open savannah and the expansive alkaline lake. Encounter herds of elephants, giraffes, zebras, and the famous tree-climbing lions. The lakeshore hosts large flocks of flamingos, while hippos and baboons thrive in the forested areas.
12:30 PM – 01:30 PM: Picnic Lunch
Relax at a scenic picnic site with stunning views of the lake and surrounding escarpment while enjoying a freshly prepared meal.
01:30 PM – 04:00 PM: Afternoon Game Drive
Continue exploring, stopping at the hippo pool and Maji Moto hot springs. Enjoy more wildlife sightings and soak in the beauty of this diverse landscape.
04:00 PM – 06:30 PM: Return to Arusha
Exit the park and begin the drive back to Arusha, arriving in the early evening with drop-off at your hotel or designated location.
